I had stage/level 4 OA both knees -  it was severe and very painful  - i did not play tennis or ski for 3 years -  I then had stem cell therapy combined with a micro fracture  of the surfaces to regrow the cartilage  - 2 years later its a huge success  -  i am playing tennis 3 times a week and i have  skied 45 days so far this year -  its fantastic ! a long recovery period but well worth it  -  i was a knee replacement candidate but i am back active doing the stuff i want to sport wise  and have my own knees with their fresh cartilage -  and no more OA pain.
